Kia ora! 

Motu School is a Year 1-8 primary located in a unique hill country setting. With low class numbers we have a family feel. We have a wonderful and supportive community around us and we lie in a very special location next to the Motu River and close to Mount Haumi.  Surrounded by paddocks, a kiwi and tuatara sanctuary, native bush reserves and waterfalls, we are in an ecologically rich niche. 

Our school setting is also unique with a variety of different spaces to play and learn.  Within the school boundaries, we have a large fenced sports field, playground, swimming pool with solar heating, sandpit, garden and ngahere area with huts and pathways to play in, along with well-established trees and picnic tables for all to enjoy.
